1st Tan Tock Seng Hospital Neurorehabilitation Meeting
Theme – "Enhancing Multidisciplinary Care in Neurorehabilitation"

Welcome Message

Dear Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 1st Tan Tock Seng Hospital Neurorehabilitation Meeting, organized by the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The meeting will be held from 24 – 25 April 2007 at National Library Board Building, in partnership with the 1st International Convention for Rehabilitation Engineering & Assistive Technology(i-CREATe 2007).

To keep the meeting focused, the organizing committee has decided to cover 2 common neurorehabilitation conditions, namely Stroke and Brain Injury. Both conditions share a lot of similarities eg. motor, sensory and cognitive impairments, and yet they can be uniquely different. Most of us managing such patients would agree that only through coordinated multidisciplinary rehabilitation can good outcome be achieved. It is precisely for this reason, that we have chosen "Enhancing Multidisciplinary Care in Neurorehabilitation" as the theme for this meeting.

The meeting will consist of plenary sessions, symposiums and instructional workshops addressing topics relevant to the care of patients with stroke and brain injury. It will also allow participants the opportunity to share and exchange the latest knowledge and expertise and to facilitate networking.

Dr Kong Keng He
Chairman
Organising committee
1st Tan Tock Seng Hospital Neurorehabilitation Meeting
